NOTW

This is the second color I have purchased from the brand SinfulColors Professional.  The last shade I got was a really nice metallic color.  I really like this color but I didn't love this formula.

 This color is called Easy Going and it's a really like pink.  It's a very pretty color-whitish pink.

 I did not love the formula of the polish.  The color is nice but the formula is very thick.  I did not have this problem with the metallic shade. 

 I found that even though the formula is thick it was still a little streaky.  It took 3 coats to really color my nail.

 The last picture shows the color the best I think.  I would probably say since it's only a couple of bucks you could purchase if you love the color.  If it's only so-so for you then I would save your money!

Pink

 I know that these have become quite popular so I wanted to see what all the hype was about.  I found I actually really do like these!  The Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters are nicely pigmented and do leave my lips really soft.  I found them at Rite Aid, and Walmart but they seem to get pretty picked through.  I picked two pink colors since I find that usally works on my complexion. There were a couple of other colors I wanted to try but were out so maybe another time! 

 I like the translucent packaging-it makes them stand out a little from all the other lip products.

 I picked out cupcake and sweet tart. This picture shows a little shimmer in the cupcake color.

 I really like the idea of using all different food name for the lip colors, that's right up my alley!

 I was pleasantly surprised that even after the color faded away my lips were still very smooth and soft.  The color below is sweet tart:

I'm not sure why my skin shade looks so different in these two pictures, it must have something to do with the flash or because I had just gotten out of the shower in the first picture but I would say it's closer to the bottom color.   I don't have any tan this time of the year!! :( lol

Hair

I asked my sister the other day if she had ever heard of Carmex.  She said she had in high school.  Well I guess my friends and I were just too in to our Lip Smackers because I had never heard of Carmex until I started reading blogs.  I have gone a little Carmex crazy. 

 Anyway, I decided to do a hair post-my first.  I bought these cute little clips the other day and decided to try them out. 

 My cat decided they were a toy for her and bit them and then clawed them to the ground. If you own a cat you know that they own everything, atleast that's how it is with my cat.  Everything is a toy for her!

 Back to the post-I pulled a small section from the front of my face on both sides and braided them.  I did not put an elastic in or anything- I just bobby pinned them at the end of the braid to the rest of my hair.

 It was very tricky to get a picture of my head, haha.  I tried...

 I really like them, I wore a matching color shirt. 

 This is how it looked from the front.  It's simple but adds a little color and fun to my usual hair routine.

Nude

Nude-as in the lip color!  What were YOU thinking?  ;) I made a few little purchases of the basics.

 I have become quite interested in nude lip colors lately and I thought I would give this one a try.  It's Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in "Nude Attitude".  Wow is it nude. 

 There is no pink tint to this color at all.  It make my lips look completely pale- a little too much so!

I have very pale skin so this doesn't really do a lot for me.  I don't think I would repurchase this color.  The sticker on the bottom did show a tint of pink but you never really know until you try it on how it is going to look with your complexion and all.

 Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith and give it a try...and you win some and you lose some.

Here is the color on it's own.  Not very flattering on me.

 I added a hot pink lipgloss and it made it wearable-on it's own-not so much!

 I would not buy this lip color again-nothing against the brand only the color.  It just wasn't right for me, and now I know. We've all made these kind of purchases I know, what have you really regretted once you put it on? :)  Thanks for reading!!

I have been away for a while!! I have been sick! :(  I then passed it along to my husband... hence the homemade chicken noodle soup.  I have to share that the soup came out really good, I had never made homemade before! I followed a recipe from Tyler Florence. Google for his recipe if you want to give it a try.

 I thought I would do a quick nail of the week post to get back into the swing of things.  I picked this pretty light pink color to show you. 

 I love this color.  It is so pretty.  It is a shiny pink glossy color, by Wet n Wild.  It's from the Crystalic line.

 This is one of my most used colors!  It's also very inexpensive!

 I really like how the bottle has a square bottom to it, and it forms a sort of pyramid up top.  I just like that it's unique packaging.

 I'm the type of person who doesn't care what brand it is as long as it's pretty. :)  Hope you have been well! Thanks for reading!! xo

Random Stuff

It's late at night but I'm just not tired.  I thought I would post some random items for you! :)  These are from Christmas.  I got these really cute Pink Grapefruit hand wash and hand lotion set.  I can't wait to try these out on my kitchen counter.

 How nice will it be to have lotion right next to my soap at the KITCHEN sink?  Also they are just pretty because they are pink.

 I got these stud burst design earrings for Christmas as well.  I never would have picked them out for myself but I do like them. 

 They were perfect for Christmas because they remind me of snowflakes. 

 They are a little larger than you would think on but not gaudy large.

I Wanna Be a Rockstar Bay-be

I may not be able to be a rock star, BUT, I can have rockstar lips!  I am in love with this Rock Star Buxom Lip gloss set!

It comes with 4 different shades, and I actually like all 4 of them.  You know how sometimes when you get a pack there is that one color you know you will never use?  That is not the case here! I have tried out all of them and really like them all.  I think my favorite is Gabby, and then Julie.

These lip glosses are the plumping kind, I feel the lip plumping action, your lips will tingle a little and you know that it's working. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that they are quite moisturising as well.  They have vitamin A and E and leave your lips soft.

Nubar Gem

Happy 2012!!  I thought I would share this beauty of a nail polish with you all!  It is a real gem-no really-it's called 'gem'. ;) The brand is Nubar and the color is gem.  I really love it.  My husband got it off my wish list for me for Christmas.  It has a really pretty sparkle to it.

"Ooohh, sparkle-y"

 It has a nice consistency to the formula, not too thin or chunky.

  I really love how it changes color depending on the lighting.  The picture below is with flash and you can see how it really picks up the beautiful sparkle to the polish.

 This picture below is with the natural lighting and it has a purplish tint as a base to it, though you can still see the rainbow of colors coming from the glitter.

 I think this polish is around $8 and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a little sparkle in their life.  I know you can purchase it off of Amazon.
