NOTW: OPI Lincoln Park After Dark

This is OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark.  It is a very dark plum color, it almost looks black. This is a very shiny color.
I just love saying that name, "Lincoln Park After Dark", Lincoln Park After Dark"  It's like a little chant...well I find it fun to say anyway...
I applied two coats to make sure I applied it evenly.  I think that it's a pretty thick formula so you could probably get away with one if you were in a rush.
I love the shine to this polish, so glossy.
I really wanted this polish to last a few days so I added Sally Hansens Hard as Nails topcoat. I don't know if this was really necessary but I thought I would do what I could.
I love this polish, so pretty.  It's pretty dark so be prepared.

Hope your week is off to a great start! xo, Heather Honey

NOTW

I have been away for a while!! I have been sick! :(  I then passed it along to my husband... hence the homemade chicken noodle soup.  I have to share that the soup came out really good, I had never made homemade before! I followed a recipe from Tyler Florence. Google for his recipe if you want to give it a try.

I thought I would do a quick nail of the week post to get back into the swing of things.  I picked this pretty light pink color to show you.

I love this color.  It is so pretty.  It is a shiny pink glossy color, by Wet n Wild.  It's from the Crystalic line.
This is one of my most used colors!  It's also very inexpensive!
I really like how the bottle has a square bottom to it, and it forms a sort of pyramid up top.  I just like that it's unique packaging.
I'm the type of person who doesn't care what brand it is as long as it's pretty. :)  Hope you have been well! Thanks for reading!! xo

Nubar Gem

Happy 2012!!  I thought I would share this beauty of a nail polish with you all!  It is a real gem-no really-it's called 'gem'. ;) The brand is Nubar and the color is gem.  I really love it.  My husband got it off my wish list for me for Christmas.  It has a really pretty sparkle to it.
"Ooohh, sparkle-y"
It has a nice consistency to the formula, not too thin or chunky.
I really love how it changes color depending on the lighting.  The picture below is with flash and you can see how it really picks up the beautiful sparkle to the polish.
This picture below is with the natural lighting and it has a purplish tint as a base to it, though you can still see the rainbow of colors coming from the glitter.
I think this polish is around $8 and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a little sparkle in their life.  I know you can purchase it off of Amazon.
I hope you find 2012 to be a wonderful year!  Thanks so much for reading!!   -Heather Honey  xoxo

NOTW

Here is the second color I said I would show you I bought of the brand CQ.  It is 455 Chocolate Plum.  I think it is just the perfect color for fall/winter.

It is a brown color with a slight plum tint.  It is shiny and you need to apply atleast 2 coats.  It lasts about a week before it starts chipping.
I picked it up at the drugstore, it's inexpensive but very nice color.

Thanks for reading! :)

Cheap Coral Polish

I noticed a bright orange-coral colored nail polish while walking by the nail section at the drug store the other day.  I think it was like $1.99 maybe, can't go wrong.  Wow, it's actually has a really nice color and quality.  I have had my nails painted with this color for a week. No chippping! My nails are still looking freshly painted. I am actually very impressed.  I think that it's a little more orange than coral than it looks in the bottle somehow, but very bright and summery.  The brand is Wet n Wild, Wild Shine in the color Blazed.
