Cuticle Remover

I have very dry cuticles and decided that I would try an "at home" treatment.  I picked up this Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover.  I don't remember the price but it was under $10.

It is suppose to remove any extra skin that is over your nail.  I also picked up some nail sticks to use with this product.
This is the first time I have ever tried a product like this before, it claims to only take 15 seconds for it to work.
This is a picture to show you what my cuticles looked like before I tried it out.  You can see my pinky and pointer finger especially needed to be pushed back.
You apply the product on your cuticle and let it sit for 15 seconds.  I pushed them back with the nail stick.  You then need to rinse off the product.
Here are the tools I used to trim off my extra skin.
So here are the before and after pictures so you can see the results:

I would say that this product did help.  It makes the cuticle very soft and come off easier.  I didn't love it though...I still had to cut off and trim the cuticle because it didn't really dissolve.  I would try it again, because this was the first time I used it and it may work best with continued use.  I would say that if you are really interested to try it go for it-otherwise I wouldn't bother.  It wasn't amazing.  Have you ever tried a product like this before?  XO, Heather Honey

  7. I've not tried something like this, usually I just resort to nail clippers if I have peeling skin. Looks like it helped to moisturise your cuticles though.

  9. Great review! That's the same cuticle remover I bought a little over a week ago. I've only used it once so far though and while it didn't do anything amazing, it did soften my cuticles. I'm going to keep using it and see if it improves. (:
