Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray

I bought this product about a year ago after my hair stylist curled my hair and used a heat protectant spray. I decided to go find my own to use!  I used to use Tresemme shampoo and conditioner, so I decided to give theirs a try!
It has a nice light misting sprayer.
FIRST of all, this is a horrible, horrible picture of me, BUT it shows how frizzy my hair was this morning.  It was a rainy day and I wanted to show you how well this product really works.  I didn't have any make up on yet, I was in the process of getting ready...
I just sprayed it all over my hair and then I brushed it out.  It instantly makes my hair shiny and gets rid of the friz.
Next I curled my hair.  I have very thick hair, and it has a hard time holding a curl.  My hair is just too heavy to keep a curl for long, so I really crank the heat up on my curling iron.  That's why I really need the heat protectant.  It is also why I can't review the hair spray I used because I don't think I could review it fairly trying to curl my hair.

Then I just sprayed it all down with hair spray.
It keeps my hair shiny and I know my hair isn't totally getting ruined from the heat.
I don't use a lot of heat on my hair so it's not used to it and this really helps me keep my hair healthy.
Now my FAVORITE part of this spray!  Haha!! I love this little lock and unlock button.  I don't know why, but I just think it's so fun.  It's the little things :)

Do you use any kind of heat protectant?  If you haven't tried one yet, I would recommend this one.  I really like it and I have no regrets getting this.

eos lip balm

These have been around for a couple of years now I think, but I had never tried it.  I always wanted to see what was so cool about these.  I decided to finally give it a try.  It's called eos, and it's lip balm.  Not just any old lip balm, it's lip balm in a "wierd shape".  Haha.
It is nice to see someone trying something really different than the usual stick of lip balm.  It's a little sphere rubbery container, but it sits flat because it's flat on the bottom.  It can easily roll off the table if you leave it sitting there-if say you have a cat who likes to jump up on tables so she can push things off of them...easy to find in a purse or bag because of the shape as well.
Just twist and the top comes off to reveal a round thing of lip balm.  Even though it's pretty big it applies really easily though.
I really liked the scent I picked out.  I think it might be my favorite thing about it.  I got "summer fruit".  It smells great and taste great actually too!  My kitty likes how it smells too. :)  It think since the ingredients include these fruit extracts it's a mixture of these scents: blueberry, strawberry and peach.
I also really love that it's 100% natural and 95% organic.  It also happens to be paraben and petrolatum free, gluten free and isn't tested on animals.  All good stuff!  It has vitamin E, shea butter, jojoba oil to soften your lips.  I don't think it doesn't anything spectacular in the moisturising department but it works good enough.
I would try another flavor.  I thought it was pretty good! Hope your summer is off to a great start! XO, Heather Honey

Burt's Carrot Creme

I got this little miracle in a Burt's Bees Kit a few years ago.  I had to share this little jem.  I LOVE it.  It is Burt's Bees Farmer's Market Carrot Nutritive Creme.
Burt's describes it as "Precious carrot seed oil has been used throughout history to revive and repair sun damaged and aging skin.  The results are simply miraculous."  I agree-they are!!
When ever I get a little too much sun and my face is a little red and dry I apply this at night to my skin.  You can apply it with a little water mixed in during the day or in full concentration at night.  I usually just go full concentration at night and let it work it's magic while I sleep. The next morning my sun burn is practically gone, my skin is soft and moisturized.
I absolutely love the smell of this stuff.  I don't know what it exactly smells like? carrots? but I like it. It's very pleasant.  I know that there is sweet almond oil, avacado oil, grape seed oil, carrot seed oil, and rosemary extract.  I guess all that stuff mixed together creates this comforting little smell.
The other night I actually couldn't find this little glass jar and was frantically looking everywhere for it.  I was so upset that it could be "lost" that I even had my huband joining in the search!  Well it was sitting right on my make up table the whole time staring me right in the face...oops!  That's how much I love it though.
I would give this a try after a day of sun and see if you like it as much as I do.  Nobody likes sun damage!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Thanks for reading! xo, Heather Honey

Lip Inflation

I picked up Sally Hansen's Lip Inflation Extreme at Rite Aid and have been using it for a little while now.  I liked the idea of it making my lips look fuller and it was a very pretty pink shimmery color.

I like the packaging.  I like that the lid is a rectangle shape instead of a cylinder.  It is also easy to find in my purse!
You can see the pretty pink shimmer in this picture.  The color I got was Sheer Pink.  I really like the color, I think it is a great color.  I like wearing it alone and over lipstick.
So the deal is it does NOT plump my lips any noticable amount.  I don't think it makes them look any bigger.  This lipgloss was about $9 and I think the couple extra bucks is because you are paying for the "plumping".
It does have a cinnamon taste that I love, it uses cinnamon extract in the ingredients.  It also has a little bit of a smell to it to, I like it though.
Overall I like the color, I like how it feels, taste and smells, but it's not lip plumping.  If you do purchase this one, I wouldn't buy it for that purpose.  I would say it's just a nice regular lipgloss.  Thanks for reading! xo, Heather Honey

Night Cream

I have put off doing this review because I have had such a hard time deciding what to say.  Don't love it, don't hate it...but here we go!  I decided that since I didn't have a night cream I should really start the habit of getting a good night cream I like and start using it every night.  I headed out to Target and found Up&Up Night Cream.  It was about $15.  It says compare to Olay Regenerist Night Cream, which is around $20.  I love Olay, but I figured it was $5 cheaper and I could give it a try to see if I liked it or not.

It says, "Uses natural moisturizers to help give you firmer, younger-looking skin."  I would agree that it does leave my skin much more moisturized, but I don't notice a difference on the firmness of my skin.  I am blessed with younger looking skin so maybe that is why I don't really notice as much...?  Now I do agree my skin is more moisturized BUT it also is oily feeling sometimes in the morning when I wake up too.  It doesn't feel greasy or oily when applying though.
This night cream is pretty heavy, and I know some people really like this.  I am unsure how I like it.  I feel like it might not absorb as much as a light cream but I am new to using night cream.  I have been using this product for over a month but I LOVE my daily day face lotion so I think it's hard to not compare the two even though they are totally different products.
Some of the ingredients on the back listed are Vitamin E, Lavender, Green Tea, and tons of big words that I don't know what they mean, haha.  The ingredients I told you are somewhere in the middle of the huge list.  This product also has a little bit of a scent that I think some people may find unpleasant.  I'm not sensitive to scents so it's ok for me, but maybe not for others.
So like I said I don't love it, but I don't hate it.  It's really in the middle for me.  If you like a thick cream, aren't sensitive to smells then you may like this one.  It does moisturize...
If anyone else has tried this, what did you think?  Perhaps you have a more decisive opinion than me!

UPDATE: Olay Professional Pro X

So here is the update I promised:
I have used this every night since my last blog post YOU CAN FIND HERE.  I have used the exfoliating cleanser that you can see in the picture above, and actually still have a little left that I continue to use.  I purchased this for $25 and here are my findings...
  • It leaves my skin feeling thoroughly clean, even if I'm wearing a lot of make up
  • It leaves my skin so smooth
  • The cleaner goes a long way, so it lasts a long time
  • I have used it every night in the shower-so it's very convenient since it's waterproof
  • It only takes a light brush over on your face-if you leave it on too long you will get dry skin
  • It absorbs my night lotion better
  • Less break-outs
The only negative thing I can find about this product is I left it on my chin for quite some time thinking I was cleaning it "really well".  This is not necessary-it actually dried out my chin.  Your skin will get clean without much effort.  You are not getting any purging or "deep, deep clean" like the more expensive models out there, but for $25 I wouldn't expect that.  I would recommend this, I think it's really fun to use!
Look out for my giveaway announcement!  XO, Heather Honey

Cuticle Remover

I have very dry cuticles and decided that I would try an "at home" treatment.  I picked up this Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover.  I don't remember the price but it was under $10.

It is suppose to remove any extra skin that is over your nail.  I also picked up some nail sticks to use with this product.
This is the first time I have ever tried a product like this before, it claims to only take 15 seconds for it to work.
This is a picture to show you what my cuticles looked like before I tried it out.  You can see my pinky and pointer finger especially needed to be pushed back.
You apply the product on your cuticle and let it sit for 15 seconds.  I pushed them back with the nail stick.  You then need to rinse off the product.
Here are the tools I used to trim off my extra skin.
So here are the before and after pictures so you can see the results:

I would say that this product did help.  It makes the cuticle very soft and come off easier.  I didn't love it though...I still had to cut off and trim the cuticle because it didn't really dissolve.  I would try it again, because this was the first time I used it and it may work best with continued use.  I would say that if you are really interested to try it go for it-otherwise I wouldn't bother.  It wasn't amazing.  Have you ever tried a product like this before?  XO, Heather Honey

Mac Hue

This is my first MAC purchase! Very exciting for me :) I don't have a store near me that sells MAC but on a recent trip I spotted one and thought I would give this nude color a try.

It's Hue, and it's a very pretty nude color.  It's also a glaze so it has a nice shine to it.  I really like the packaging, I like the detail sparkles on the bottom of the lipstick case.
It goes on nice and smooth.
It has a nice color-it doesn't wash me out like some nudes.
MAC lipsticks are around $15 which is pricey but I have heard so many good things I am hoping it will prove to be worth it! So far, so good.
I like the light shimmer you can see when the light hits it!
I thought I would go with a nice wearable color to start with.  It's really an everyday wearable color.

Do you have any MAC lipsticks?  What is your favorite shade?  Thanks for reading! XO, Heather Honey

Coach Poppy Flower

It was cold and windy but just what I needed!! My husband and I took a trip to the beach.  I love going to the beach.  I live in New England so it isn't really warm yet, but just to smell the air and listen to the waves is all I need to make me happy.

:)  I thought I would share just a couple of pictures with you all. We also did a little shopping, and I'm excited to share my new perfume with you!
On to the new purchase!  I have been wanting this perfume for months. I actually smelled it in a magazine and instantly LOVED it.  It's Coach Poppy Flower.
There is also Coach Poppy that comes in the red instead of purple color, I love the Poppy Flower though.
Right now you can get the set of both the large bottle of perfume and lotion for $90.  This is only around $5 more than the large bottle of perfume by itself.  This is very expensive but I only splurge once in a while and I've really been wanting it.  I'm justifying it to myself, haha.
The lid of the bottle is not what I would expect in such an expensive perfume.  It is a light plastic and not metal like it looks. Not a big deal though.
Right now you can get this lotion for just $5 more, worth it!
As you can see this is a nice big bottle of perfume-3.4oz.
I love that it comes in this cute little box.  It is a nice keepsake box to keep on your makeup table :)
The Coach website says: "Chic. Vibrant. Whimsical. Poppy Flower mixes bright fruits with soft florals to capture the romantic side of the Coach Poppy attitude. Sparkling notes of citrus, lychee and cassis blend with water lily and jasmine petals to create an airy, lighthearted fragrance."
Give this one a smell-it's a good one! I love it :) The only thing I would change is the price.  I hope your week is off to a good start!  XO, Heather Honey
